How to use this page
Notice which statements feel familiar, then ask when they began, where they appear, and how much they interfere. Do not total a score.
Pattern 01
Attention and working memory
- I lose track of details even when the task matters to me.
- Conversations, instructions, or intentions disappear before I can act on them.
- Routine tasks require more effort to sustain than other people seem to expect.
Pattern 02
Starting, organizing, and finishing
- I know what to do, but beginning can feel unusually difficult.
- Time, priorities, paperwork, or belongings are hard to keep organized.
- I rely on urgency, overwork, or last-minute pressure to finish.
Pattern 03
Restlessness and impulse control
- My body or mind feels driven, restless, or hard to settle.
- I interrupt, answer, spend, decide, or react before the pause arrives.
- Waiting, slowing down, or shifting out of momentum can feel uncomfortable.
Context changes the meaning
Familiar does not automatically mean ADHD.
Sleep problems, anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use, learning differences, medical conditions, medication effects, and overload can resemble or intensify ADHD-related difficulties. A clinician considers the full pattern rather than one checklist.
Consider an evaluation when: several patterns are persistent, began earlier in life, appear in more than one setting, and meaningfully interfere with school, work, relationships, finances, driving, or self-care.
